Custom Carpentry

Built-ins, trim and joinery made for the room rather than bought to fit it.

The work that makes a house feel considered rather than furnished: built-in shelving that fills the alcove exactly, a mantel with the right proportions, stair parts and trim that match what the house already has. Measured on site, made to those measurements.

We work across Taylor, Hutto, Round Rock, Georgetown and Austin, and every job is permitted through the right city office rather than done quietly. One project lead, one number to call, and a written schedule you can hold us to.

What's included

Everything in a custom carpentry

Built-ins and shelving

Bookcases, window seats, media walls and pantry fit-outs scribed to walls that are never quite square.

Trim and mouldings

Baseboards, casings, crown and wainscot, either matched to the existing profile or specified new throughout.

Doors and stairs

Hanging and fitting doors, plus stair treads, risers, newels and balustrades.

Mantels and feature work

Fireplace surrounds, beams, panelled walls and the pieces a room gets built around.

Finishing

Filled, sanded and painted or stained on site so the joinery reads as part of the house, not an addition.

Questions

Good to know before we start

Can't find your answer? Ask us directly — we usually reply the same day.

Usually. Older profiles are rarely stocked, but we can have a knife ground to match an existing run so new work is indistinguishable. In a historic district that is often the only acceptable approach anyway.

Built-in wins where the space is awkward — chimney alcoves, sloped ceilings, odd widths — because it uses every inch and reads as original. If you might want it elsewhere later, freestanding is the honest recommendation.

Paint-grade poplar or MDF for painted work, since both take a finish beautifully and stay stable. Oak, walnut or white oak where the grain is going to be seen. We will show you samples before anything is cut.

Yes, either as part of a kitchen or as a standalone replacement where the existing boxes are sound. New doors, drawer fronts and hardware on good boxes is one of the highest-value changes available.
